Library Thing

Good Morning Lovelies,

So I have found a new way to feed my book addiction. L's  lovely sister C recommended a WONDERFUL website to me: Library Thing.com. On this site, you can add all the books you have read or are reading. It then connects you to other users with the same books on their lists and then you can explore recommendations, discussion boards and book reviews / descriptions. It really is so addictive.

If you want to find me on there, I am killerqueen_jess.

Check it out. I love love love it!

Wills and Kate Get Married!!!!!!!!

Happy Wedding Day Monarch Enthusiasts!!

Wills and Kate at Westminster Abbey. Harry and Pippa Middleton in the background.

What an exciting day!! Catherine Middleton and Prince William - from now on known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - got married at Westminster Abbey with receptions at Buckingham Palace to follow.

If you know me, you know how fascinated by the royals I am. I love history and especially English history. Queen Elizabeth I is one of my idols. I love a strong woman who sticks to her ideals.
I did not get up early, but when I was watching the coverage tonight of the wedding I started tearing up quite a bit. I thought this wedding was sooo beautiful and romantic. It brought out all my little girl princess fantasies - although I clearly do not want all that attention that comes with it.

Will and Kate look so in love and happy. It is so sweet. I read that Wills even said to Kate when she got to the end of the aisle that she looked beautiful! AWWW!!!

Check out some pics of the big day below:

Wills and Kate leaving Westminster.

Her dress by Alexander McQueen - creative designer Sarah Burton - (who I love love love) has grown on me as I look at it more and more. When I first saw it, I was not happy. I thought it was too conservative. I wanted to see her in something classy but less traditional. But I realize she had to choose a more conservative traditional dress because of the milieu in which she got married. And for what she had to work with, her dress really is beautifully detailed.

Burton created a wonder of lace and satin. The bodice is sweetheart shaped with lace overlay hand-made in England in the traditional Carrickmacross style. Her train was modestly only 8 feet in length with both English and French Chantilly lace and 58 covered buttons. Lots of satin!

I did really like the way she did her hair and makeup. Very nice and understated. It always nice to be natural on your wedding day. I also love love loved her tiara that the Queen lent her. Very ornate but subtle. Nice bling!

Kate`s second dress also by McQueen

Now I ADORE ADORE ADORE LOVE LOVE LOVE her second wedding gown. This is more the kind of thing I wanted to see her in. When I saw this dress it definitely made me like her other gown better. I mean she can have more than one dress? Why not have the perfect princess ball gown and the beautiful classic modern elegant dress.

This dress is more simple with a lovely ring of diamonds around the waist. I love her little bolero as well. Just stunning!! The sweetheart neckline really suits her!

What do you think of her two gowns? Hot or not?

Stay tuned for photos of wedding guests which will include of course crazy hats considering it is an English wedding!!
