It is a majorly rainy day in my neighbourhood! So I think we all need a little dose of celeb gossip medicine to ease the horrible pain of wet pants and freezing cold hands - wasn't it just sunny and warm last week? Boo! God, Canadian weather sucks! (Sometimes)

- Hugh Grant recently wrote an article for the New Statesman where he provided a transcript of a conversation he secretly recorded with a former News of the World executive. This reporter / photographer / whatever, Paul McMullan, is one of two former employees who exposed the extent to which the News of the World invaded the privacy of public figures to gain information for stories. Grant describes an encounter when his car broke down and a man stopped, he thought, to help. The man, Paul McMullan in fact, begun taking photos of Hugh and then graciously offered to give him a lift. During this encounter, Paul admitted that Hugh himself had been hacked and invited him to stop into his bar in Dover, England sometime. Hugh decided since he was asked to write an article for the New Statesman, that he would turn the tables on Paul and secretly record him discussing the phone taping and information gathering scandal. He went to his bar with a friend and discussed the issue in a lot of detail. I think this is pretty ballsy of Hugh. And pretty kick ass. I was impressed. Very interesting, indeed. One part I found particularly interesting was when Paul said he thought people who had lots of money did not deserve privacy. While I think people who put themselves in the public eye are opening the door to invasion of privacy, I do think they deserve privacy like anyone else. - Another celebrity has turned the tables on the media - sorta. Amid rumors that Scarlett Johanson is preggers, her publicist released a statement (Source: People) denying the rumors and attacking the media's unfair reporting about female celebritites being pregnant. The photo below of Owen Wilson, SacrJo and Sean Penn running is the photo that begun the rumors. Her publicist's statement according to People says not to jump to conclusions. Step 2: Single out the one photo that portrays her as a mere mortal
"She was followed and photographed for over 20 minutes and I'm sure there are other photos in the series that show and prove that she is not pregnant," the rep points out.
Step 3: Set the record straight
"Scarlett is not pregnant," Pariseau says, adding for good measure, "She's been training for The Avengers for over four months and is in the best shape of her life."

- One of Charlie's Goddesses' has left the building!!! Perez Hilton reports , that Bree Olsen - Goddess #1 - has left Charlie Sheen's Torpedo whatever tour. There has not been any confirmed reason why yet, but seriously, can you blame her?
- In other Charlie Sheen madness, his ex-wife Brooke Mueller has checked back into rehab following some very strange behaviour and refusing to submit to a drug test (Source: Perez Hilton). Now Charlie is looking to get custody of his twin boys. Many others have come out saying they would like to care for the boys while Brooke is getting better - including her mother and Charlie's other ex-wife, Denise Richards! (Source: Perez Hilton) . Brooke's mother was granted custody while Brooke is in rehab and Charlie is on tour. Poor Charlie did not win this round despite Tiger Blood and Goddesses.
- Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting hitched this Friday. I have decided to stay up and watch! But everyone has been wondering: where are they going to honeymoon? The Royal Wedding Itinerary says they will be going to Jordan! Wow!!

- Over the past week, Bret Easton Ellis, author of American Psycho, Rules of Attraction and Point Zero has made some terrible and homophobic tweet remarks about the show Glee involving the wonderful turn of phrase "puddle of HIV". He tweeted: "I like the idea of Glee but why is it that every time I watch an episode I feel like I've stepped into a puddle of HIV?" (Source: Perez Hilton) Eewww and wtf? Matthew Morrison who plays Mr. Shue on Glee, he basically said he thought people talking about the show whether good or bad was a good thing. Seriously though, not cool Bret, not cool. I know your books are all controversial and you are all about that, but "puddle of HIV"?? Really?
